Outdoor Repeaters

With the ever increasing focus of cost vs returns in wireless networks, repeaters (cell extenders) offer a cost effective solution to operators to provide coverage at a fraction of standard BTS site costs. Repeaters are ideal in scenarios where coverage is the prime objective.

Channel Selective Repeaters

These repeaters are ideally suited for use as a Gap-Filler to optimise network coverage. Being Channel selective the output power per carrier is fixed at 37dBm or 34dBm depending on the number of channels used.

GSM 850, E-GSM900, P-GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 and GSM-R

  • 2-4 channels
  • 37 dBm/ch (2ch), 34dBm/ch (4ch)
  • EDGE compliant

WCDMA Repeaters

850MHz, 900MHz and 2100MHz

  • 2-4 channels
  • 33 dBm/ch (2ch), 30 dBm/ch (4ch)

Frequency Shift Repeaters

Double Donor option to suit BTS configuration. Frequency translating technology is used to overcome isolation requirements of standalone repeaters and provide as much coverage as a macro base station at a fraction of the cost.

  • Band Shifting - 900 - 1800 - 900
  • Frequency Translating - 900 - 900 - 900
  • 2-4 channels
  • 43dBm/ch (2ch), 37dBm/ch (4ch)
  • EDGE compliant

RNS's frequency shift repeater consists of two units. The master unit connects to the BTS, converts the signal from working channels to unused channels at a different frequency, and transmits to the remote unit through the donor-link antenna. The remote unit receives the signals, reconverts to the original frequency, amplifies and transmits the signal to the coverage area.

RNS's frequency shift repeater is an ideal solution that will cut the overall cost of signal coverage extension without the added need of implementing more BTS sites. This equipment can be applied to much larger areas including road coverage, small islands, lodges, or rural villages.
