Vision

It is our passion to ensure the optimal development for traumatised and other children in need of care.

Mission

From a Christian frame of reference, to care for committed children in our residential facilities and to develop, empower and reintegrate them and other socially disrupted and disadvantaged children and families, and to enable them to function independently and to contribute to society.

RNS make a yearly financial donation to Abraham Kriel, which is always appreciated, but also get involved in a support role by attending weekend camps or by supplying food and toiletries for children who are leaving the care of the home and making themselves a new life back in society, this personal involvement by members of RNS is always a great help to Abraham Kriel and enables the running of activities, be it for the day or for a weekend. Without external help many of the children would never experience anything other than the environment of Children's home.

Recent Event

The most recent event RNS supported was a weekend team building bush camp, RNS MD Graham Diss attended this with his wife to provide planning and support for the weekend, whilst the venue was donated by a business associate. This weekend involved 21 boys aged between 14 and 18, all have their own personal issues and the idea is to promote teamwork and break down barriers whilst instilling respect for themselves and others. Problem solving exercises involving poles, tires, ropes, ditches and planks proved to be very popular as did the extremely muddy assault course. Archery, feeding the lions and a night march proved to be very popular, as did the braai on Saturday night, boys can seriously eat !!. By Sunday there were 21 very tired smiling Children helping each other to load their bus………. teamwork and respect? Let's hope so, a very different attitude in comparison to their arrival on Friday.
