With a strong commitment to enhancing communication infrastructure, Patrick de Villiers, known as Patches, is a Site Supervisor at Radio Network Solutions. Joining the company in 2016, Patrick has cultivated a diverse skill set over his 7 years of experience in the field. He holds a Matric certificate and a Trade Certificate as an Electrician, along with several certifications in specialised training.
In his role, Patrick is responsible for coordinating site kick-offs, conducting risk assessments and managing work schedules. He ensures that materials and equipment are organised for installation while overseeing the timely completion of projects. Regular site inspections are integral to his approach, as he assesses health and safety risks and ensures that work aligns with design specifications. His responsibilities also include conducting site walk testing, maintenance on Axell wireless equipment, and occasionally assisting with site plans and drawings.
Patrick has completed various RNS-sponsored programmes, including AutoCAD Fundamentals, Scaffolding Erector and Inspector, Fall Arrest and Basic Rescue Techniques, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, 16.2 Legal Liability, as well as Defensive Driving. These qualifications enhance his ability to manage site operations safely and effectively.
